The following phone numbers and/or people have been worthwhile resources for getting opted out of mortgage protection junkmail. There is more than one company that sends mortgage protection solicitations, so just calling one probably won't fix it.
The following is an attempt to consolidate some of the reports of successful mailing list removal.
- 800-224-3522: Number two on the menu asks to provide your name and the "Your Personal Package Code" number which would opt you out of any further MPC mailings.
- 732-499-0700 ext 210: Chuck Z. at Affiliated Mortgage Protection LLC in Rahway, NJ. Mike at ext 221 may work as well.
- 866-752-1163: ask to be put on the "do not mail list"
- 800-263-2563 ext 2255
- 916-723-8292 at 6939 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA. 95610. Have the barcode ready from the letter you got in the mail and ask to be removed from the mailing list.
Please comment on your success stories.

Thanks for the good contact information in regards to Mortgage Protection Services and Mortgage Protection Center. Contacted the previous phone number 1-866-442-7520. Customer service rep was polite and understanding and took our address and phone number off their records.
I have read a few of these posts and my best advice is to send the envelopes back. They send out too many of these envelopes so the accumulation of them would be too much to handle only if everyone were to do it. I'll keep sending mine back until I no longer receive them.
Also, if you have to fight with a company to get them to stop sending you mail then you'll probably have to fight with them to get your money back when there is a problem. Don't sign up and don't send them your private information.
YOu are right, if we have to fight to stop the letters what you want to bet they would not be as anxious to help us.
I have received approx. 20 letters from Mortgage Protection Services and Mortgage Protection Center in the last 2 months and I am sick of it. I finally called the number in the post above from the BBB and was given the following number to Mortgage Protection Center: 1-866-442-7520. I gave them a call to opt out. While on the phone I asked if they were affiliated with Mortgage Protection Services and she said that was their main office. Hope this helps someone else.
You know, it irritates me to be treated as a crop or a mineral that someone can harvest or mine. Even though that info is in public records, what right do they have to access it and use if for their personal gain.
This is the sort of crap that our politicians should be getting involved in to stop. The U.S. Postal Service and the phone service were intended to benefit people who need to communicate, not to be used by someone to make money.
Thank you ...I just called and got my name (hopefully) off the list. Too rude...

The phone number has been disconnected.
Isn't it ironic how there is a certain anonymity about this companies mailing letter? No phone number, no contact information, and most importantly, no information on who the person who actually did the research at the courthouse and then sold the information to this company in order to make a PROFIT on the information and the unfortunate situations of others.
